Richard de Kock Alpe dHuzes 2013 (425x640)I have trained for more than 4 months with Robert and I liked it. It is obviously his passion. He knowes a lot about training, how to build good schedules and has a lot of experience with cycling events.

 

The unique thing about his spinningsessions was that he was not only training us but educated us during the short breakes on training and nutrition. On the topic of nutrition Robert knows what he is talkingabout too. You can feel the passion.
His trainings are very professional  They were longer than regular spinningsessions. The sessions were more demanding and gave a better preperation for the actual event.
For me it was the first time I entered the Alpe d’ Huzes event. I climbed the mountain twice. Roberts training and nutrition advice took an important part in this.

My name is Miriam,Miriam Visser 35 years old en working in a finance business. I like to spend my free time in  nature, riding a race bike, MTB or my horse. I visit the gym regularly to release stress and stay fit. I like to cycle for mutiple days too. Take my tent and lugage and clear my head.

 

I contacted Robert because I was planning a long solo trip from the Netherlands to Italy and I had a hard time finding the right nutritional advice. I know Robert from my early years as a student, he is a passionate and rightful person. Despite eating healthy I was a little underweight. My mission for Robert was “How to gain weight in a ehalthy way so I could finish my trip to Italy with a good result.

 

Robert started out by defining my condition and starting point. Next he made a plan that made me aware of which nutrinional values I needed and should be eating. With the aid of an app that tracks my nurtriotion I got more insights in my eating habits. Soon I found that I wasn’t consuming enough calories, although I thought I was.

 

Roberts program helped me to eat multiple healthy potions a day and how to track this myself. The result was that I gained the weight i was after and as a bonus my body  was able to provide more heat. Before I was cold all the time. The regular fatigues also disappeared. Eventually I started my trip in may, hardly lost any weight during three weeks of cycling and kept my strenght. Overall it was an amazing experience!

 

After well over 1500 km I found myself superstrong on top of the Apenijnen and felt invincable. Robert has played an important role in the endresult. He set up a different scenarios with me in case my trip would be fysically or  mentally challenging. Due to this preperation I had the feeling I could cope with anything. And so it was!

 

During my trip Robert supported me on Whatsapp which gave me an extra boost. I still use the nutrition he recommanded because it supports my current lifestyle. Especially the shakes are perfect as breakfast or post work-out.

 

Long story short: I’d recommand Roberts coaching to everyone!

Wilco Alpe d'HuzesI am Wilco de Haan, 42 years old, Internet entrepreneur. I have a family with 4 kids. I already knew Robert through his wife, Corine.

 

When I was asked to participate in Alpe D’Huzes, I didn’t believe I was up for that ride. Alpe D’Huzes is a charity event. The challenge is to climb the famous Alpe d’Huez in France up to 6 times on one day. I hadn’t riden a bike in 10 years and had no experience with a racebike at all. And with severe back pains after every training session I wasn’t in good shape.

I definetly needed help with my training and nutrition. That’s where I called in Robert.

I chose a custom made program with spinning, swimming and cyling.

My first impressions where super. I really liked the efficiënt trainingmethodes. Not just making miles, but effectively training specificall elements of power, speed and endurance.

It was a diversified program, really well designed to my needs.

 

The endresult was amazing. In the end I climbed Alpe d’Huez  times, without spending hours and hours preparing for it. In all I spend 750 km on my bike did 20 indoor trainings and some weighttraining and swimming.

Robert’s coaching sessions and the program where thought out, really well. Everything customized to my needs. Robert kept me focussed on the goal. Coaching my nutrition habits was perfect too. I made a lot of changes and all of them worked out as they were supposed to.

My message to Robert is:”Keep up the good work!”. And for those with a seemingly imppossible goal, hire Robert and you’ll do fine.

Before I used this program I thought I was already training good, but after I had seen his webinar, I came to the conclusion that I could achieve more. I climb mountains regularly and every year I ride some Cyclo’s and do some local rides, that vary from 150 km to 170 km.

After two months I can feel the changes that this program has brought me.

I noticed a faster recovery, due to the combination of the trainingprogram and nutrtiontips.

I ‘ve devolpped a stronger body with more power. Especially during climbing in the mountains.

The kick I used to get from cycling has returned, because I am going all the way during the short, high intensity trainings. Which has also let to more fun, even when the weather is bad.

My name is Shuki Blokzijl. I’m 53 and married. I work as OC nurse in the UMCG hospital. I’m an entrepreneur too as a pedicure.

My sister in law led me to Robert. She is a cyclist too and send me an enquete that Robert had sent to her touringclub.

My mental health is great, physically I’m normal. I have been cylcing around without a schedule. I rode Alpe d’Huzes ( 6x Alpe d’Huez on one day, France), Mont Ventoux (France), Stelvio (Italy).

It wasn’t about aiming for e new personal best. Reaching my goal was more important.

I was looking for a good training schedule that could prepare me fort he Amstel Gold Race (Netherlands). New challenge and I wanted to lose a few pounds.

My first impression was good. I received a very good schedule for my training camp at the Canary Islands in December.

I didn’t look at the other programs when Robert suggested to create me special schedule for my training camp. And that’s exactly what I wanted.

After this experience I will continue. Next month I will receive my next schedule and I can’t wait. Returning from my my training camp at the Canary Islands I really noticed that I got stronger.

I never liked Interval training. I hated it, but Robert changed that. Just like the gym, where I’d skip certain exercises time after time.

I can only speak about my great week at the Canary Islands. I hope that my training for the Amstel Gold race will be the same.

Leger trainingOp zoek naar een evenwichtig voedingspatroon en een effectief trainingsprogramma ben ik Robert van Wellance tegengekomen. Na een kort telefonisch gesprek was mijn eerste gevoel dat ik aan het juiste adres was; Robert klonk enthousiast en deskundig en dus precies de man waar ik naar op zoek was.

 

 

Vervolgens heeft hij mij twee maanden lang wekelijks begeleidt op een professionele doch persoonlijke manier. Dit sprak mij erg aan. Primaire doelstelling hierbij was voorbereiding op de praktische officiers selectie test (POST) als onderdeel van mijn sollicitatie als Officier bij het Korps Mariniers. Zoals u kunt indenken is dit niet zomaar een test, het is zowel fysiek als mentaal loodzwaar. In het kort komt het erop neer dat er drie dagen lang veel van je lichaam gevraagd wordt; weinig eten, weinig slaap en veel fysiek afzien.

 

Om mij hier op voor te bereiden heeft Robert een strak maar haalbaar voedings-, en trainingsschema gemaakt waardoor ik super fit op de test verscheen. Mede door deze training heb ik de POST dan ook met goed resultaat afgelegd. Voor uw informatie: aan het begin van de test starten er 24 kandidaten waarvan de eerste 10 binnen drie uur afvallen en er uiteindelijk gemiddeld 5 tot 7 kandidaten overblijven. Ik wil Robert dan ook bedanken omdat ik mede dankzij hem heb kunnen vlammen op het ‘moment suprême’ en geslaagd ben voor het fysieke deel van deze test.

 

Kenmerkend aan de coaching van Robert is niet alleen zijn kennis van het menselijke lichaam, werking van voedingsstoffen en effectieve trainingsprogramma’s, hij weet dit ook op een persoonlijke en effectieve manier over te brengen. Dit sprak mij erg aan. Robert wist mij te enthousiasmeren in het bereiken van mijn doel en dit is dan ook gelukt.
